GUIDELINE for the implementation of customer due diligence measures during the period COVID-19

In order to implement appropriate the customer due diligence measures during the period of COVID-19 pandemic and to facilitate the procedures for beneficiary under the measures set out in the Emergency Fiscal Package, the Kosovo Financial Intelligence Unit, in consultation with the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo , has issued Guidelines for the Implementation of appropriate Customer Due Diligence Measures during the period of COVID-19, through which all Banks in Kosovo are temporarily allowed to use alternative measures to identify customers and verify their identity without their remote physical presence.
Through this Guideline, the beneficiaries of the Emergency Fiscal Package will be able to open bank accounts by staying in their homes and respecting the recommendations for protecting public health from the COVID-19 pandemic.
