OSCE supports FIU-K with IT equipment

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacities of the Financial Intelligence Unit, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo provided support to FIU-K with IT equipment by donating 10 laptops and 10 tablet computers to assist FIU officials. Effectively analyze data and reports, including reports of suspicious transactions related to money laundering and terrorist financing.

The delivery of the equipment follows the support of the OSCE Mission to improve training capacities and facilitate the participation of FIU representatives in specialized trainings for combating money laundering. After completing the training, representatives who will be certified as specialists in the fight against money laundering will use the equipment provided to put into action the new skills they have acquired.

During the ceremony, the acting Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Mr. Behar Xhema, handed over a plaque of gratitude to the OSCE Mission for its continuous support to the FIU.

We thank the OSCE Mission in Kosovo for the continued support they are providing to IFI-K, which will be extremely useful in enabling the Financial Intelligence Unit to increase its effectiveness in analysis, inspection and other areas of PPP /LFT.
